5:56 PM PT -- The San Antonio Fire Department tells TMZ ... they responded to the Majestic Theater at 5 PM CT for a report of an elderly patient who had reportedly fainted and transported them to the hospital with a non life-threatening condition.

4:38 PM PT -- A rep for Carlos Santana tells TMZ ... tonight's concert at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio has been postponed. The singer is currently under observation in Texas. His rep says he's doing well and looks forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour.

The rep adds the San Antonio show will be rescheduled soon.

Health scare for Carlos Santana ... he's in a hospital right now getting treatment after suffering a medical emergency before a concert in Texas ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for the legendary musician tells us Carlos suffered a medical emergency Tuesday that they suspect is dehydration. He was put into an ambulance and has left the venue, and we're told by his rep he's been hospitalized for further testing.

Santana's rep says his Tuesday night show at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio is not currently canceled -- but that could change depending on how Carlos responds to treatment.

Folks who were there say Carlos was doing a sound check when he suffered an emergency and had to be taken out of the venue on a gurney and placed in the back of an ambulance.

A similar incident played out a couple years ago, when Santana collapsed onstage in July 2022 from what his team claimed was heat exhaustion and dehydration. In that instance, Carlos was in the middle of his show and he had to be taken to a hospital.

So far, that hasn't happened here.

Carlos also has shows scheduled for Friday, Saturday as part of his Oneness Tour 2025.

Carlos Santana was forced to postpone a concert in San Antonio, Texas, on Tuesday night after he was taken to a hospital for observation after he suffered dehydration, a representative for the musician confirmed to Fox News Digital.

"It is with profound disappointment that I have to inform you all that tonight's show in San Antonio has been postponed," Michael Jensen of Jensen Communications said. "Mr. Santana was at the venue (Majestic Theatre) preparing for tonight's show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration. Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action. He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour. Thank you all very much for your understanding. The show will be rescheduled soon."

The concert was part of the 77-year-old musician's "Oneness Tour."

The Hall of Fame guitarist is still scheduled to play in Sugar Land, Texas, on Wednesday night, in Thackervile, Oklahoma, on Friday and Tulsa on Saturday.

Santana shared a video from his Monday night concert in Albuquerque, New Mexico, earlier Tuesday, writing, "To the Amazing fans in Albuquerque, NM. From our hearts, we wish to thank you for showing up with such beautiful energy and love in the cold & rain. You danced, you sang, and you braved the elements like true warriors of light. Your warmth and passion lit up the night more than any spotlight ever could. It was truly an honor to share our hearts music with you."

In January, the guitarist was also forced to postpone his Las Vegas residency because of an "accidental fall" at his home in Hawaii.

"I am sorry to say that Carlos was out taking a walk at his vacation home in Kauai. He took a hard fall, and he broke his little finger on his left hand," a statement posted on Santana's social media by his representative Michael Vrionis said at the time. "He had to have pins inserted in the finger. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to play guitar for approximately six weeks. Doctors do say that he will recuperate fully."

He added, "Carlos is doing well and is anxious to be back on stage soon. He just needs to heal," Vrionis added. "Santana profoundly regrets these postponements of his upcoming performances, but accidents happen, and his health is our number one concern. He is looking forward to seeing all of his fans very soon."

His residency is now expected to take place in September at the end of his tour.

In 2022, he also canceled several concerts after suffering from heat exhaustion and collapsing during a show.

Carlos Santana has postponed his San Antonio show set for Tuesday, April 22. According to his manager Michael Vrionis, Santana suffered a medical emergency that sent him to the hospital.

A spokesperson for the San Antonio Fire Department confirms crews responded to a possible fainting around 5 p.m. Tuesday evening. They tell MySA the patient was transported to an area hospital.

Vrionis assures fans that the show will be rescheduled soon and encourages ticket holders to hang on to their tickets, which will be valid for the new date.

This isn't the first time the award-winning guitarist suffered from dehydration. In July 2022, Santana collapsed on stage in Detroit's Pine Knob Music Theatre, due to being "over-taken by heat exhaustion and dehydration," his manager told the Detroit Free Press at that time. Then in early 2025, the trailblazing musician postponed a Las Vegas residency due to a broken finger following a hard fall, according to Deadline.

TMZ was first to report the news that Santana had suffered a “medical emergency.”

Eyewitnesses told the outlet that the incident happened during a sound check and the musician was taken out on a gurney before being put into an ambulance.

Santana arrived in Texas after braving cold and rainy conditions at his concert in Albuquerque, New Mex. on Monday night. Just hours before being hospitalized, he posted on Facebook thanking his fans “for showing up with such beautiful energy and love in the cold & rain.”

“You danced, you sang, and you braved the elements like true warriors of light,” he wrote. “Your warmth and passion lit up the night more than any spotlight ever could. It was truly an honor to share our hearts music with you.”

Santana is currently scheduled to perform on Wednesday in Sugar Land, Tex and Friday in Thackerville, Okla. as part of his Oneness Tour 2025.

The Rock and Roll of Famer’s concert dates have been impacted by health troubles before.

In January, he postponed part of his residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas because of an “accidental fall” at his home in Hawaii.

Santana also collapsed during a performance in Michigan back in 2022 because of heat exhaustion and dehydration. A concertgoer captured the moment on video, which showed a medical team rushing on stage to help the guitarist, who was hospitalized afterwards.

Officials with the Majestic confirmed the concert's postponement shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday but offered no further details.

Citing an unnamed representative for Santana, TMZ reports the musician suffered a medical issue during Tuesday's soundcheck — likely dehydration — and was taken to a hospital by ambulance for tests. The 77-year-old also collapsed due to dehydration while playing a 2022 concert, according to the article.

In an emailed statement, Santana manager Michael Vrionis confirmed the guitarist was taken in for observation after experiencing what was determined to be dehydration.

“Out of an abundance of caution [for] the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action,” Vrionis said. “He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his U.S. Tour. Thank you all very much for your understanding. The show will be rescheduled soon.”

Vrionis urged concertgoers to hang onto their tickets, adding that the tour would get out word on a rescheduled date as quickly as possible.

Santana is currently on the road for the Oneness Tour, which is expected to include U.S. and European tour dates through the summer, according to the performer's website. In the fall, he's expected to return to his Las Vegas residency.
