Widespread Panic have announced a two-night engagement in Richmond, Va. On Sept. 12 and 13, the jam legends will be among the first to take the stage at the new Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront, which will open for its kickoff concert on June 6. This will be Panic’s first appearance in Richmond since a booking at the Altria Theater in February 2016, continuing a theme in the band’s 2025 touring of visiting cities that had fallen out of their road rotation.

The latest addition to the honored jam sextet’s 2025 touring calendar will fall after its six previously announced stands. The band is set to appear next for a trip to Charleston, S.C.’s Credit One Stadium on May 16 and 17, then speed along to Chicago’s Chicago Theater from June 4-6, Morrison, Colo.’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre from June 27-29, Asheville, N.C.’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena on July 25 and 26 and Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway from Aug. 21-23, which will be their first Beantown stand in a decade.

After cancelling the bulk of their 2024 touring as guitarist Jimmy Herring sought treatment for tonsil cancer, Widespread Panic made a triumphant return to the stage with a double-header at Atlantic City, N.J.’s Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in February. The group’s first performances since their temporary hiatus went above and beyond high expectations with sit-ins from Jason Crosby and John Keane. The band built on this momentum with a return to St. Augustine, Fla. for its annual series at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, which upped the ante with some exciting bust-outs and themes, then brought even more setlist intricacies to their stint at Nashville, Tenn.’s Ascend Amphitheater from April 24-26.
