A Benjamin Moore paint warehouse was significantly damaged on Tuesday morning in Lewisville, Texas, after a possible tornado came through the area.

LEWISVILLE, Texas – A Benjamin Moore warehouse in Lewisville, Texas, was partially damaged after a likely tornado came through the area early Tuesday.

Security camera video shared by Carrollton City Limits showed a large, dark cloudlike structure moving through the night sky, past the warehouses, before quickly exiting out of frame.

Video shared from the ground taken after the suspected tornado tore through the warehouse showed significant damage to the building.

Debris and insulation littered the ground, as emergency lights flashed red and blue in the background.

"I thought it was just garbage coming towards my truck," said one man in the video, recounting his experience. "I was just sitting in my truck and I said ‘Oh, my God.'"

Another clip showed the warehouse damage in the daylight.

The metal framework of the building and pieces of the roof lay on the wet ground.

Blue trailers sit mangled and buried underneath rubble. It appears the damage to the warehouse occurred near the loading dock, where trucks pick up material and distribute it across the country.

The remaining trailers can be seen still attached to the building.

"Every single one of our trucks has damage to it," said another man in a video.

You can see directly inside the rest of the warehouse that was left standing.

The National Weather Service will have to survey the damage to determine if it was caused by a tornado or straight-line winds.

Debris from the Benjamin Moore Paints Distribution Center could be found across Highway 121 and several miles into Carrollton.

LEWISVILLE, Texas — Overnight storms scattered insulation and other roofing debris across several miles of Lewisville and Carrollton. Unfortunately, much of it came from one massive building that could take months to repair.

A large portion of Benjamin Moore Paints Distribution Center's roof peeled away, collapsing a south-facing wall that crushed trailers and storage containers in the parking lot.

A company spokesperson told WFAA that the damage at the facility on the north side of the Sam Rayburn Tollway happened in the early morning hours before any employees were on the property. No one was injured and they are assessing the damage and its implications to their operations.

Tollway work crews spent hours cleaning debris from State Highway 121. Additional debris -- including insulation and sheet metal -- could be found several blocks into the Carrollton side of the tollway.

Just a few blocks north of the distribution center, the storm paid a visit to resident Morgan Martin first. A gust of wind blew in an entire window and its frame at her apartment on Leora Lane, the incident was captured on the camera she uses to watch her cats while she is at work.

"It was scary, the wind was really strong," Martin said. "I had to force all my body weight into [the window] to shove it back up."

Scary for the cats too. The video shows two leaping for at least one of their lives.

"I just feel really lucky," Martin added.

And if you follow a straight line from Morgan Martin's apartment through Benjamin Moore Paints into Dallas, you would pass scores of downed trees, battered and tossed backyard trampolines, and the Wray Apartment Homes on Marsh Lane. A half dozen chimneys in the apartment complex were toppled by the wind. No injuries were reported there either and apartment management is still tallying the extent of the damage.

Leaning steeple at Branch Church Vista Ridge

The Carrollton Fire Department also stopped to check on the condition of the Branch Church Vista Ridge. No one was in the building when they arrived. Firefighters responded to calls from drivers along Highway 121 who noticed the steeple of the church leaning precariously to the northwest. WFAA reached a church representative who said they were still checking just how extensive the storm damage might be.

Both times on the same stretch of I-35, this Dodge Charger driver was on the wrong side of an exit.

I-35 commuter and Redditor /u/topprock shared head shaking dashcam footage from Carrollton and Lewisville, TX from earlier in the week (Mar 27, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a careless Dodge Charger driver, in two separate occasions within an hour, slip past OP in a gore point, narrowly avoiding a collision both times.

Both incidents happened on I-35 within an hour, once in Carrollton at an off-ramp (exact location linked here) and again in Lewisville (Exact location also linked here.)

As the first dashcam footage shows, OP is driving on I35N on the PGB Turnpike when he exits onto 35E towards Denton.

Suddenly, a driver in a yellow Dodge Charger with license plate WCZ 7321 squeezes past OP, coming within one or two feet of the traffic attenuator barrier at the end of the gore point.

The driver has the gall to flip OP off, visible in the dashcam video.

Then, within less than an hour, OP is on I-35 again when he sees the SAME Charger in the exit offramp towards Exit 445 and realizes he’s in the wrong lane. Instead of re-routing, the Charger tries the same move, squeezing past OP back onto I-25, coming dangerously close to his car and the traffic barrier.

“I was looking at him, and he never looked at me,” the caption on the video reads. “Saw him realize he needed to get over, and he then floored it.

Thankfully, the guy managed not to hit OP’s car.

“I never felt anything when it happened, but when I watched the video back, I had to go look at my car (no damage!),” OP confirmed.

“How did he get on the wrong side of the exit twice? SMH,” the top comment from /u/GuitarLute reads.

“A complete sack of s***. Sadly, that is how most charger/challenger drivers are. Fun fact: If you call your insurance and give them his plate number, they can find his info and give you his insurance info to send them that video,” /u/JWines13 suggested.
