Costa Mesa, CA (April 3, 2025) – Emergency responders were dispatched early Wednesday morning following a serious motorcycle accident that occurred on the northbound side of the I-405 Freeway, just south of the State Route 55 junction in Costa Mesa.
According to information from the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision took place around 6:08 AM on April 2nd. The crash involved a motorcycle and another vehicle, which collided in the slow and middle lanes of the freeway. Emergency responders from Costa Mesa arrived quickly to assess and assist those involved, with paramedics providing care to an injured rider at the scene.
Details on the condition of the motorcyclist have not been publicly disclosed, but authorities confirmed that the rider sustained a variety of injuries in the collision. Traffic was temporarily disrupted in the area as officials worked to clear debris and conduct a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
